Ranma Saotome is a martial artist and prodigy of the "Anything-Goes" Martial Arts School in Saotome. When he and his father train in China, they are unintentionally in a cursed spring, and they are in an awful destiny. Now, when cold water splashes Ranma into a girl, and he can turn it into a boy only by hot water.
Things will be complicated when Ranma discovers that his father has arranged to marry one of Soun Tendo's three girls to secure the Tendo dojo's future. Though Soun learns about Ranma's difficulty, he remains committed and chooses to be a skilled martial artist for himself and is known for hating the men of his youngest daughter, Akane.
Ranma 1⁄2 follows Ranma and Akane's funny adventures as they meet different opponents, meet new love interests, and find different ways of getting annoyed while their dedication hangs across their heads.
