Eighth grade Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama took on psychic abilities at a young age. However, power soon proves a responsibility, as he realizes that his skills are potentially dangerous. Mob's only current use to suppress his power was to impress Tsubomi, his long-standing crush who soon bored the same tricks.
Mob sits down under the wing of Arataka Reigen in order to exercise control over his skills, a psychic con-artist that uses the powers of Mob to change his pockets. Now it is a part of Mob's daily, monotonous life that exorcizes evil spirits under control. But the psychic energy he exercises is hardly the tip of the iceberg; a cataclysmic event will trigger him if his vast potential and unrestrained emotions become berserk. The advance towards the explosion of Mob is on the rise and tries to stop it.
