Ayumu Aikawa is a 16-year-old high school student who, while in a house of suspicion, is tragically killed. But soon it awakens next to Eucliwood Hellscythe, a strange armored girl. She turns out to be a novelist who revived Ayumu and therefore made him a zombie!
Now immortal, Ayumu is hunting his murderer down. One day while looking at a cemetery, he meets a boisterous young lady, Haruna who struggles with a bear, dressed as a magic girl, with a chainsaw. Haruna tries to erase Ayumu's remembrance of the animal after killing it, but rather absorbs its magic for himself. Removed from their powers Haruna now orders Ayumu, who travels around humanity and terrorizes the population, to play their role of hunting strange beings known as "Megalo."
