Shidou Itsuka, who lives with Kotori, his younger sister, appears to be on average high school. When the stability of Tengu City is under threat from an imminent spatial quake, he rushes to save it only to be caught in the ensuing outbreak. Through his source, he finds a mystical child, who is embodied as a "Ghost," a force elsewhere in the universe.
There is, however, a third party that trusts in saving the minds: "Ratatoskr" which the little sister Shidou unexpectedly orders! Following the clash, Kotori hires forcefully Shidou and presents him with an alternate way to deal with spiritual hazards — to make them fall in love. Now the world's destiny depends on his prowess to date, seeking to charm spirits.
